The Coast Guard Group Command Çatladıkapı Station was put into service. Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya, Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor İrfan Fidan, Fatih District Governor Kaan Peker, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Nuh Köroğlu, Coast Guard Marmara and Straits Regional Commander Colonel Tayfun Paşaoğlu, protocol members and the Coast Guard Group Command personnel attended the opening ceremony.
In his speech at the ceremony, Governor Yerlikaya stated as follows: “Today is the 38th birthday of our Coast Guard Command. We would like to celebrate these meaningful days of our members of the organization.
Our Çatladıkapı Group Command in Istanbul will serve to protect the peace, well-being and security of the blue homeland in this beautiful building on the coast of the Historic Peninsula and south of the Bosphorus.
As the Governorship of Istanbul, we spent 2 million 170 thousand Turkish liras and provided this beautiful building to the service of our organization in such a short period time.
We would hope this station be beneficial to our Esteemed Colonel and to all our friends and to all the members of our coast guard. We believe that this beautiful station will lead to beneficial services. Best wishes." and carried out with the ribbon cutting.
Governor Yerlikaya, who examined the station building after the opening, also signed the visit book and received information about the services provided at the institution.
