After Merve and Hüseyin, who were being hosted within the scope of the campaign, stated that they wanted to take a step into the marriage during the visit of Governor Yerlikaya to our citizens staying at the hotel, all preparations were carried out and the couple got married at the wedding ceremony held today.
The campaign "Nobody Stays Outside! Let's invite them as Guests", carried out in 39 districts in Istanbul, became instrumental in the establishment of a happy family. Hüseyin Çetin and Merve Yılmaz, who were placed in a hotel within the scope of the campaign because they did not have a place to stay, decided to get married during their stay at the hotel.
After the couple stated that they wanted to get married during the visit of Governor Yerlikaya to our citizens staying at the hotel, the marriage procedures were initiated under the coordination of the Governor Yerlikaya. The 1-year rent expenses and household goods of the couple who rented a house in Bağcılar were covered by the Bağcılar District Governorship Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation.
Minister Soylu and Governor Yerlikaya shared the happiness of the couple who got married with the wedding ceremony held today after all preparations were completed.
The wedding ceremony held at the Bağcılar People's Palace with the participation of Minister of the Interior Affairs Süleyman Soylu, Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya, Istanbul Deputies Arzu Erdem, İffet Polat, Serap Yaşar and Tülay Kaynarca, Deputy Governor Abdurrahman İnan, Bağcılar District Governor Mustafa Eldivan, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Nuh Köroğlu, Coast Guard Command Marmara and Straits Regional Commander Colonel Tayfun Paşaoğlu and the guests.
The couple's marriage was solemnized by Bağcılar Mayor Lokman Çağırıcı. Following the prayer of the Provincial Mufti Prof Dr Mehmet Emin Maşalı, Minister Soylu and Governor Yerlikaya wished the couple a lifetime of happiness.
Minister Soylu: "Family is the Strongest Step for the Foundations of Civilization"
Minister Soylu, who gave a speech at the wedding ceremony, emphasized the importance of the concept of family and stated as follows:
"Family is not only a beginning, but also the most powerful step for the foundations of civilization. This is because, the family is the desire of our religion and the strongest thing that strengthens our state and keeps Anatolia alive."
Minister Soylu continued his speech as follows: "We would like to thank our Istanbul Governor for bringing these two beautiful hearts together here. We would like to thank our district governor and our colleagues for this step they put forward." and wished the couple happines.
Governor Yerlikaya: "We do not want to let anyone stay outside"
The Governor Yerlikaya, wishing happiness to the couple, stated that 1740 citizens who didn't have a place to stay in Istanbul were served. Governor Yerlikaya continued his speech as follows: "We host our brothers and sisters in 64 hotels in all districts, albeit very little in social facilities as well. We always say that we do not want to let anyone stay outside. We are grateful to the God for giving us this opportunity, since bringing the lovers together and marrying them off is an act that will please both our state and our nation."
Governor Yerlikaya congratulated the Governor of Bağcılar, Mayor of Bağcılar, Director of Bağcılar Social Assistance Foundation and the Board of Trustees and gave the good news that there will be a wedding on Friday next week.
The wedding ceremony was completed with a souvenir photo shoot following the speeches.
