Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya posted about the Hagia Sophia Mosque which was reopened for worship on July 24 last year after 86 years and stated as follows:
“Last year, on July 24, a completely different kind of holiday was experienced in Istanbul;
Hagia Sophia Mosque was reopened for worship 86 years later.
The Mahya with the inscription 'La ilahe illallah' on its minarets still illuminates our city🌙”
