Governor Yerlikaya gave a speech to the participants at the Republic Day Congratulation Ceremony.

Governor Yerlikaya started his Republic Day speech as follows: "I greet you with respect and affection on the 97th anniversary of our Republic." and continued his speech as follows: "Our Republic is the greatest victory of our believing ancestors, who, despite all the poverty, were thrown to the front without hesitation and fear in the 20th century in the homeland. It is the work of our nation, which is one in sorrow and pride."

"We Will Continue To Raise The Republic We Inherit Forever"

Governor Yerlikaya, who celebrated the republic day as follows "Every day since it was declared by Atatürk on October 29, 1923, we are all Republics. Happy Republic Day to all of the children of the Republic, to all of us." noted that the Turkish Republic is not just a concept.

Emphasizing that our Republic is the last link of a deep-rooted civilization and system of values, Governor Yerlikaya continued as follows: "At the foundation of our Republic, there is a spirit of wisdom, civilization, progress and ascension. There is the determination to live and the effort to keep alive. As the owner of an ancient heritage, we have duties against our nation, country, geography and against humanity.

For this reason, we are on the table as on the field, on the podium as on the battlefield, for our civilization, our country, our nation, humanity and the world."

"We, as free and equal citizens of the Republic, all of us, wherever we are, in every task we perform, as bureaucrats, civil servants, workers, teachers… young, old, women, men… We are all obliged to obtain new achievements like our ancestors who fought for the independence and the future. This responsibility we assume is not a choice, it is a matter of existence and absence." Governor Yerlikaya reminding the value of the Republic for the Turkish Nation with his foregoing words continued as follows: "With this awareness, each of us will establish new paths to the future, and hopefully raise the flag of our civilization and our Republic to the highest level in the world."

Stating that our internal and external enemies will continue to exist today and in the future as in the past, and reminding that our password against the enemies is Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's saying "Victory belongs to those who say victory is mine", Governor Yerlikaya continued as follows: "We will overcome every obstacle we encounter with this belief and self-confidence, and we will continue to raise the Republic we inherit forever."

"We are all Republic, Happy 97th anniversary of our Republic"

Governor Yerlikaya stated as follows: "In the 97th year of our Republic, with our usual loud voice we will say 'Sovereignty belongs to the People! Republic Forever!' With these feelings, I commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of our Republic and his esteemed comrades in arms and all our heroes, with respect, mercy and gratitude." and ended his speech as follows: "I would like to express my gratitude to all the children of the country who were martyred and became veterans for the salvation of our nation, the survival of our state and our star and crescent flag.
Rest in peace and God bless them all. The past is ours, today is ours, and the future is ours. Independence is ours. We are all Republics. Happy 97th anniversary of our Republic. Happy holidays."

After his speech, Governor Yerlikaya accepted the Republic Day greetings and congratulations of the provincial protocol representatives.

At the Republic Day Congratulation Ceremony, photographer Izzet Keribar's book titled "Iki Istanbul" consisting of Istanbul photographs was presented to the participants.
