Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya visited the Mercedes-Benz Hoşdere Factory and examined the coronavirus measures on site. Governor Yerlikaya, who met with the workers at the factory, consulted on the gradual working hours carried out in Istanbul during pandemic.
During the visit to the Mercedes-Benz Turkey Hoşdere Factory, Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya was accompanied by Bülent Acicbe, Executive Board Member Responsible for Mercedes Bus Production, Adnan Uyar, Türk-İş İstanbul 1st Regional Representative, and factory managers.
Governor Yerlikaya was informed by Mr. Bülent Acicbe about the use of masks in the production factory, and how the risk of contamination in the cafeteria, dressing, resting and working environments are being reduced. After the presentation, Governor Yerlikaya visited the assembly plant and received information about production from those in charge. During the visit, Mehmet Ali Akman, Head of Istanbul Branch of the Turkish Metal Union, presented a plaque to the Governor Yerlikaya.
Gathering with the workers at the factory, Governor Yerlikaya thanked Mercedes-Benz Turkey officials for hosting, and emphasized the importance of the industrial sector in the country's economy.
Governor Yerlikaya stated that the consultations continue, referring to the gradual working hours carried out in Istanbul and transportation issues as part of the fight against the pandemic. Governor Yerlikaya ended his speech, wishing that the decision to be taken after the consultation would be beneficial.
