Kariye Mosque is preparing to be opened for worship after being transferred to the Religious Affairs Directorate with the decree signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya, Head of Religious Affairs Directorate Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş and Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nadir Alparslan examined the preparatory work carried out at the Kariye Mosque on site.
During the visit, Head of Religious Affairs Directorate Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nadir Alparslan and Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya was accompanied by General Manager of Foundations Burhan Ersoy, Fatih Mayor M. Ergün Turan, Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Coşkun Yılmaz, and Provincial Mufti Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Maşalı.
The committee, after examining the preparatory work in the Kariye Mosque received information about the activities carried out.
