Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya stated that 1251 irregular immigrants were caught in the last 3 days as part of the efforts to catch irregular immigrants throughout the province.
Governor Yerlikaya shared information on the work carried out to apprehend irregular migrants.
Governor Yerlikaya, stating that 40,286 irregular migrants were captured in Istanbul as of January 1, 2021, and 1251 irregular migrants in the last 3 days, continued as follows:
"As of January 1, 2021, 40,286 irregular migrants were captured in Istanbul, and in the last 3 days, a total of 1251 irregular migrants, including 506 Afghans and 745 other nationals, were captured and handed over to the Migration Management Refoulement Center for deportation procedures."
